Why bed sizes don't match

  1. Names aren't standardised

    UK, US and EU each have a "King" — all different sizes. Only the dimensions in cm are reliable.

  2. A UK King ≈ a US Queen

    The UK King (150×200) is closest to the US Queen (152×203), not the much larger US King (193×203).

  3. Check before you buy

    A mattress from one region won't fit a frame or fitted sheet from another. Confirm width and length in cm.

  4. EU beds run longer

    EU mattresses are usually 200 cm long — about 10 cm longer than UK standard sizes.
